Acre is please to be working with a leading national resource management and recycling company to source an interim Health, Safety and Environment Manager for a short-term contract. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic Health and Safety team, driving forward improvements in safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engaging with employees at all levels of the operations to identify key areas of risk control
  • Being a visible presence across multiple sites, acting as a go-to person for Health and Safety queries
  • Investigating incidents to ensure corrective actions
  • Conducting inspections and audits to identify focuses for improvements, then following up on findings and actions to ensure progress is made against targets
  • Training others within the business on key safety and environmental matters

This will suit a contractor looking to work in a varied, fast-paced environment, and the successful candidate must be prepared to adapt their approach and plans according to changing business priorities.

Essential requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification)
  • GradIOSH
  • Experience working in waste or process manufacturing environments
  • Ability to proactively engage with variety of employees, from operational staff to directors
  • Working knowledge of environmental issues would be desirable
