Acre has been engaged by a FTSE 100 property developer to help identify a self-motivated and enthusiastic Health and Safety Manager.
The successful candidate will be fully responsible for leading on Health and Safety across two large-scale projects in Wimbledon and Kent. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a leading business on two pioneering construction projects.
To develop, maintain and promote the implementation of the H&S Management Systems including the Construction Phase H&S Plan and Construction Environmental Plan
Provide advice, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their H&S responsibilities
Develop and deliver suitable H&S training programmes for all project personnel
Assist Project Managers and Supervisors delivering project related risk assessments using appropriate risk assessment methods
Promote a positive safety culture through proactive monitoring and enforcement
Interface and develop relationships with key industry/sector H&S forums participating in regular meetings
This position will suit individuals that have great communications skills, a collaborative working style and commercially minded. Previous experience of working within the construction sector, ideally within large residential developments, is a necessity.
Excellent H&S legal knowledge and practical application

Ability to inspire, influence, direct and manage personnel to achieve higher standards whilst supporting and developing a strong team culture
Experience of developing long term strategies to achieve exemplar H&S performance
