Acre is excited to be working with one of the UK's most prominent arts and entertainment venues to identify a new Health & Safety Advisor. You'll work in a diverse, innovative and renowned location, collaborating with all teams and departments across the business and facilitating positive and progressive conversation around safety culture.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Working with various departments to review safety risk profiles and provide appropriate coaching and advice, designed to build understanding and drive improvements
  • Providing production and event safety advice, from design stage to delivery, whilst remaining mindful of the creative process and enabling it to thrive
  • Leading projects designed to develop and improve fire, health and safety systems in key business areas and delivering relevant training
  • Developing effective working relationships and influencing behaviour at all levels, to promote awareness of health and safety issues and lead best practice
You'll be enthusiastic about driving lasting cultural change, engaging with the business and having productive conversations about health and safety. Occasionally you may work unsociable hours, but you'll be exposed to a varied, high-energy environment with plenty to capture your imagination. Your passionate and proactive approach will inspire innovation across the business and promote awareness of a practical application of health and safety.

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Extensive experience in health and safety, ideally within the creative industries, events or construction
  • Level 6 qualification in Health & Safety - NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or safety-oriented degree
  • GradIOSH status (or TechIOSH with significant experience)
  • Awareness of investigation procedures and experience dealing with local authorities
  • Demonstrable experience in fire safety, ideally with NEBOSH Fire Certificate or similar
