The Energy Bureau Analyst, sitting within the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Department, will support the management of the utilities value chain. Working with stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure effective and efficient procurement, budgeting, payment, recharging and relationship management in relation to utilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operational management of utility providers, ensuring KPIs within any agreed contracts are met/exceeded and disruptions (technical, legislative, administrative) are communicated within Bureau
  • Management of meter readings, liaison with sites to ensure accurate reads are submitted to suppliers, recharge of fiscal invoices to tenants, creating tenant tariffs
  • Liaison with site and finance contacts, management of the connections and disconnections process for new/redundant meters within a portfolio
  • Delivering excellent customer service through the management of a robust query management system and regular liaisons with tenants through tenant review meetings
  • Ensuring Carbon Reduction Commitment charges or equivalent are passed through to the relevant consumers

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated yet conscientious individual, with the ability to problem solve and implement improvements.

They will also possess:

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large quantities of statistical data, cleanse anomalies, and convert it into understandable results
  • The ability to negotiate effectively with relevant stakeholders, ensuring third party activities/standards are delivered and expectations of downstream stakeholders are managed
  • Knowledge of or interest in utility markets, including wholesale trends, legislative framework, supply base, contract structures and invoicing solutions
  • Experience delivering bureau services, including invoice and consumption data validation, cost recovery, and tenant recharging
