Our client, a trailblazing social business at the cutting edge of international gender development has engaged Acre in its search for a Director of Gender (Maternity Cover) on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
This unique organisation bringing together a diverse group of people with a fresh approach to gender and international development, one that has captured the interest of investors and the development world alike, breaking down the barriers faced by girls in developing countries.
Steer the Gender team's support, leading where appropriate, to providing gender technical expertise to global products. This includes inputting into to design and strategy development and delivery processes and content development
Provide gender technical expertise to new business development and partnerships and their integration into brands and products
Support gender mainstreaming activities across the organisation through inputting into organisational policies and practice and develop and delivery capacity building initiatives for staff on gender equality issues
Contribute to the development of a highly effective team by providing line management support to other team members and matrix management to senior team members in country
You will have:
Demonstrated track record of having both undertaken and led on global and national level programming on gender and/or child/youth empowerment and rights
Experience training and facilitating capacity building on gender/girls' empowerment
Experience in the design and analysis of monitoring, evaluation and research
Excellent inter-personal skills and experience of working in a multi-cultural team
