Chief Investment Officer

“In our senior executive team’s review of our overall ESG strategy, Rob Lake assisted us as a much appreciated facilitator, advisor and socratic interlocutor. Starting from first principles, and following a discussion with the Board of Directors, our work led to a reformulation of our Investment Belief on ESG and provided key input in the development of a new overall ESG strategy. Rob’s insight about the key issues, on the global landscape of investor’s ESG strategies and his understanding of the relationship between ESG and investment strategy in general were of great value.”

Chief Investment Officer

“Rob’s advice to our senior investment team was extremely valuable in helping us determine what ‘ESG’ is and is not for the Trust, and in relating it to our investment objectives. His input enabled us to translate our high-level policy commitment into practical guidance for our relationships with our investment managers.”

Responsible Investment Client

Head of Responsible Investment

“Rob conducted a review of our responsible investment programme and governance by interviewing around 20 people across the whole organisation, including the Chief Executives of our Asset Management business and the Group as a whole. His advice was extremely valuable. It helped us to link RI more strongly to our strategic objectives for the company as a whole, aligning our RI governance with the new objectives, and embedding RI more firmly throughout our operations.”

Coaching Client

Internal Auditor, Asset Management

“I have been having coaching sessions with Rob in the past seven months; and have noticed positive changes in my vision of the career progression, goals-setting and overall development; not only as a professional but as a human being. Our coaching sessions included exercises like visualisation, photo-cards and dialogues. After each session I left with a positive outlook and a lot of ideas in my mind; as well as set of goals to achieve for the following session. Moreover, our sessions have boosted me with energy, creativity and optimism.”

Coaching Client

Consultant Relation, Asset Management

“At the start of this programme I was hoping to focus on developing my understanding and awareness of the softer factors that are present in life – rather than focusing on technical aspects that can often appear to be the reason for misunderstanding. During the 6 sessions Rob and I explored a wide range of case studies – all of which were real to me and involved us using a wide range of techniques. It was always an open discussion with Rob focusing on asking questions and getting me to think about solutions and draw conclusions. A thoroughly valuable number of sessions. Thank you!”
