ShareAction, a leading non-profit organisation that helps investors and companies consider human rights, business ethics and the environment in their policies; is working in partnership with Acre to help identify a Head of Networks to join their growing and dynamic office in London.
ShareAction is a ground breaking charity that has been successfully harnessing the power of major investors since 2005, using a distinctive theory of change that works with the investment system, the corporate world and citizens whose savings are invested in capital markets. This brand new role will lead the organisation's work in developing a powerful and inclusive movement for responsible investment, supporting several networks made up of individuals and organisations across the responsible investment space.
Developing and maintaining key relationships with senior leaders in ShareAction's networks, whilst also helping to recruit new organisations and influential individuals Ensuring there is a distinct, attractive offering for individuals and organisations who join ShareAction's networks Working with the lead staff person for each network to develop and manage delivery of an annual work plan budget for the networks team Taking responsibility for each networks' range of events, ensuring they are of a consistent quality, resulting in actions that advance ShareAction's strategic goals Managing a small but growing team of currently seven individuals to help with their continuous professional development
Reporting directly into the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the origination and implementation of a strategy to establish a new network for individuals working in financial services, who support the vision of a responsible investment system.
You will lead ShareAction's movement for responsible investment, which falls across three axes: the investment industry; individuals and organisations. You will line manage the teams that build these relationships and will be responsible for ensuring that the 'movement' supports the objectives of ShareAction's Campaigns and Policy teams.
Skills and capabilities:
Significant and relevant experience in or around the investment industry, with a range of established, relevant relationships in the sector Experience of successful relationship development and management at an executive level, ideally overseeing networks of organisations and/or individuals Proven business development or fundraising experience Experience of managing people and project delivery Demonstrable commitment to responsible investment or corporate responsibility
