Acre has been engaged by the specialised Real Estate division of a high profile global bank to identify a new, highly credible and engaging Sustainability Manager. The Real Estate Facilities Management arm of the business employs c100 staff, has 9 offices throughout the UK and delivers managed services to £3.5 billion of client assets that include some of the country’s landmark buildings. Reporting to the National Director of FM, you’ll take responsibility for the development and delivery of the sustainability strategy within the property management department.
Responsibilities will include:
Development and implementation a business strategy for a sustainable service offering Ensuring that all clients are aware of compliance requirements e.g. CRCEES deadlines etc. Assisting in the tendering and presenting process for new business Monitoring of the environmental performance of all buildings under management Identification of where performance can be improved and recommend solutions Providing regular updates to Management Surveyors and Facility Managers on requirements The successful individual is likely to come from the Real Estate sector and bring with them a thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and certification relating to the built environment You will also have:
An understanding of the business potential for sustainability in property management Knowledge of modern principles and practices of environmental improvement methods as applied to the maintenance of commercial buildings and refurbishment Thorough knowledge of modern office methods, practices and equipment Excellent presentation skills This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled property/sustainability professional to engage, drive change, and provide thought leadership in this newly created, business critical position.
