To develop robust yet simple guidance and case study materials on water-related valuation for business.
Methodology: Through consultation with the WBCSD Working Group on Water, developed the structure and content of several guidance documents. The approach drew upon i) a review of 25 business water valuation case studies ii) personal experience gained undertaking five of the case studies, and iii) 20 years experience undertaking water-related valuation studies.
Results: Several easy to understand yet comprehensive guidance documents on water valuation that help companies increase revenues, save costs, reduce risks and enhance reputation.
Document outputs include: ‘Water Valuation; Building the business case’, ‘Water Valuation: Business case study summaries’, ‘Business Guide to Water Valuation: an introduction to concepts and techniques’, and several in-depth case study write-ups.
